Avery Grace
Some of you might remember the maternity pics I posted of Avery's Mom and Dad earlier this summer. Avery made her debut a few months ago, and this is one of her newborn pics, taken at her home. All of my newborn sessions are free as long as they are taken within 2 weeks of the birth. I offer this for several reasons, the main one being I LOVE BABIES! =) She is absolutely precious!

December...ALREADY?
The title of the blog sums it up. I've been a busy gal! My blog probably doesn't currently reflect that, other than the lack of entries....so I'm going to prove it! =) Over the next few days, I'm going to post several GREAT photos...that are totally blog worthy..however time has just not allowed me to make blogging a priority yet ;) Let's just say I'm making my New Years Resolution a little early this year. I love being able to showcase my AWESOME clients...so I'm sorry if your pic is just now being featured from...let's say...August? ...but, I am going to try to start keeping up with this thing! Even if I have to stay up later than 9pm =)
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Andy & Beth
I loved spending the evening with this family! We had a great time trekkin' all over Fairland to get some good shots! =) We started with some outside shots by the creek and then headed back to the studio. Before we ventured inside for a bit, I used the brick building next door for the first time and I absolutely LOVE the way the evening sun hits the building. We wrapped the session up on the RR tracks, and it was very hard to choose a pic for the blog! =) This one wins. Hope you love it guys!

Gladson Gals
So here is another "sneak-peak"! I'm feeling like I can finally (maybe) catch up this week! =) These girls are beautiful...and not only on the outside...their manners were just impeccable! I had a lot of fun with this session, and I'm pretty sure the girls did too! My next several appointments are for girls...so I'm looking forward to some really great sessions! =)

the KELLY family! =)
This session couldn't have gone smoother...I photographed the Kelly Family a couple of years ago, so they were already comfortable with me, and expecting stupid jokes =) This session I had the pleasure of meeting "Grandpa" which was great because he's a really funny guy! At one point he had me looking for my keys (he had them in his pocket, and yes, I'm notorious for leaving them in the door!) I'm sure at times they wish I'd do less talking and more picture taking, but this family is just fun to be around! Besides, I took a ton of pictures as usual, I just talked A LOT while I was taking them =) This pic is actually the VERY last picture I took...I held the camera over my head being the goofball that I am, and it actually ended up being a great pic! =) Sorry it took me SO long to post this on the blog...your pics will be in soon!
McQueary Fam
The McQueary's were so much fun to work with! We started in the studio, and decided to head outside. I used to leave Fairland to use the RR tracks, but thought I'd see what we'd get using the tracks that run right behind the studio. Needless to say, I probably don't need to leave Fairland to get the RR shots anymore. It was a short walk and the lighting was perfect! This is officially a "sneak-peak"=) and I'm looking forward to delivering the rest of the proofs =)
The Schwedler's
With a new baby boy in tow, it was time for some new family pictures! =) There's no better way to commemorate a new addition to the family than a portrait...as fast as little ones become "big kids" it's nice to show how the family changes and grows! I love the Schwedler Fam, and was so glad to get to spend a Saturday morning with ALL of them!
McClusky
The Dunn Kids =)
Here is a picture from the Dunn family session. This was actually another combo session that also included the extended family from out of state, so I'll probably post a few more...but I thought I'd feature the kids on the blog for now. =) I love this sibling pic! She definitely loves her big brother!
Lahrman Family
I feel very repetitive in saying how much I "love" sessions...but it really is no lie! =) I went to high school with both Jamie and Josh...so it was fun getting to catch up with them a bit, and meeting their adorable little girl! She has a lot of energy and really loved my M&M stash too! This session actually was a combo...we did family portraits, as well as maternity pics. I chose this pic because it was kind of both =) I am looking forward to meeting the new little sister within the next few weeks! =)
Baby Haehl
Here is a picture from my most recent maternity session! I really wish I would have had these taken, (x4) =) because maternity sessions are really fun and I think they are such a neat way to remember pregnancy. I am really looking forward to meeting Baby Haehl in the near future at the newborn session!!!....because if you know me at all you know I LOVE to photograph babies!!

Catching Up
I love being able to showcase sessions on the blog =) Unfortunately, I do not have internet at the studio yet, but eventually, this blog will also serve as a "sneak peak" for all of my clients. Some of these have already been delivered..but I still wanted to show what I've been up to for the last couple of weeks! Enjoy!
This beautiful couple has been married for....62 years!!! They were so much fun to have in the studio...we laughed a lot! I'm sure they've shared a lot of laughter over the years =)

Bradley
Meet Bradley! Thanks to a very patient Mommy, I was able take both indoor and outdoor pictures of him. This picture was actually taken in his own backyard! =) As much as I love the traditional black and white baby photos, I'm a huge fan of trying something a little different, and this baby ended up with the best of both kinds of pics. I wish I had time to post every photo (there isn't a bad one!) Looking forward to photographing Bradley as he grows. What a precious baby boy!
Aaron
It's been a busy few weeks for me! Sessions are really starting to fill up, and I'm anticipating a lot of Senior clients this year! =) I actually took Aaron's Senior pictures...and after graduating last year he decided to enlist in the US Navy. These pictures were taken to commemorate his graduation from basic. Way to go Aaron! Thank-you for serving our country, we're so proud of you!

Austin
I'm still getting some last minute '09 Seniors in for pics...and it's been great having the option of doing in-studio or outdoor pics. =) This is actually one of my favorite spots... it takes a little effort to get there, but the lighting is PERFECT under this old railroad trellis. Good Luck with everything Austin!

Jaycie
Today was my first "full" day of work at the studio, and I really enjoyed it. I can't really think of a better way to start my morning than photographing an adorable baby girl! =) Jaycie was such a trooper for her pictures! I can't believe how advanced she is for only 3 months, but with 3 older siblings, I'm sure she sees something new every day! Here is a sneak-peek from her session today. Just one of several "keepers" and I even got a few of her napping..I just might have to post one of those tomorrow =)

Shelbyville News
Tonight is the big night! =) I'm excited and wrapping a few things up today. I wanted to post this link to the article on the studio from yesterday's Shelbyville News:
http://www.shelbynews.com/main.asp?SectionID=1&SubSectionID=93&ArticleID=60660&TM=25105.26
I'm really grateful for this article. It was originally supposed to run next Monday, but the reporter was able to get it printed sooner to accommodate the Grand Opening tonight. Just another detail that fell into place for us! =) I'm SO blessed...and really looking forward to tonight! Happy reading =)

Jenny
Jenny's sessions were SO much fun! We started on Saturday with an outdoor session, and finished up yesterday at the studio. (FIRST STUDIO SESSION EVER!) =) May is typically a little late to be taking Senior pics..but I have been blessed with a few clients lately that are just getting their Senior pictures taken. This is very exciting for me with the new studio opening up, because I absolutely LOVE senior sessions, and this has enabled me to take some great portfolio pics for the class of 2010! Good luck with everything Jenny!

Ryan
Here is a picture from Ryan's Senior Session. With all the studio prep, it had been awhile since I'd been behind the lens...but I've really missed it! I couldn't have asked for better lighting, and we had a great time! I'm pretty sure his dog Molly enjoyed the session just as much as we did...she loved being out in the country! Good Luck @ CSU Ryan! Hope you like the sneak-peek!

The Studio
I thought I'd go ahead and post some pictures of the studio on here. So far, I've gotten a lot of great feedback on the place, which is great to hear! =) I won't lie, I've been a little stressed...but I am also super excited! We are on schedule to finish up this week, and I have the Grand Opening scheduled for May 14th, which is less than two weeks away! As mentioned on the Grand Opening flyer (see post below) any In-Studio Session ($40 value) booked at the Open House is FREE! Yes, this does include your proofbook of images. I will also be giving away door prizes including framed portrait credits, and the GRAND PRIZE will be a 16x24 Gallery Wrap Canvas from the FREE session that you book! Hope to see you there!

Spring Break
Most people try to escape from working while vacationing, yet I love my job so much that I take my camera nearly everywhere! Our family has been enjoying a week away in Florida for Spring Break. We are very fortunate to have family that lives here and graciously hosts the six of us! =) Thought I'd take a minute to update the blog and share a picture of my baby cousin Gabe. He's growing so fast! We only get to see him a few times a year =( but I really enjoy photographing him...he loves the camera!
Once we return, it will be time to start painting the studio! Yes, it is already ready to paint, furnish, and finish preparing for me to work out of it! =) I'm so excited about this new phase in my career, and hoping to capture even more moments for people that may not have heard about me yet! =) I'll be launching some great "Grand Opening" specials, so keep checking back because I'll post them here! Happy Spring!

The Frye Boys
I'm loving the weather today...especially since I had this session on the books. The original plan was to take pics at our church playland ..(We did, and those were fun too!).. but with the weather being somewhat decent we decided to head out back and take a few on the railroad. How appropriate...fun-loving brothers hanging out on the tracks! We had a great afternoon!

BRCC Staff
Last night I took pictures for our Church Staff and Board of Elders. It was hard to decide whose picture to post...but Pastor Bill was probably the most excited about having his photo taken, so I decided to feature his headshot! LOL...actually I took this picture just before heading to BRCC. I was approached by this turkey while dropping the kids off at the babysitter...I guess that is a true sign that we live in Fairland! Hope everyone is enjoying this Indiana heat-wave! =)

James
The more babies I photograph, the more I love photographing babies! I had so much fun taking 3 month pictures of James! At first, he was very serious about having his picture taken...and I love the way he's looking at me in this picture! It's one of the first ones I shot, and he was still trying to figure out the crazy lady with the big black thing in front of her face! =) Looking forward to taking pics of this little guy as he grows!
P.S. Thanks for the coffee! =)
